Pain Management
Pain can manifest in many different ways, and different parts of your body. Whether its pain in your back, neck, joints or muscles, we can assess your pain and look at ways to alleviate your symptoms through acupuncture or other forms of Chinese Medicine such as Cupping, Guasha, TuiNa, Moxibustion or Chinese Herbs.
You may be suffering from acute pain from a new injury, or you have been experiencing pain for some time which is more chronic in nature or have a degenerative condition.
Pain can be caused by many factors, such as poor posture through too much sitting, prolonged standing, a physically demanding job, strenuous exercise, an injury, an inflammatory response or emotional factors.
In Chinese Medicine, we also question whether the climate has played a part. It is thought that Wind, Cold, Damp or Heat (or a combination of) may have entered the system and caused pain in various ways. We can discuss these factors or triggers that may have contributed and make a plan to help protect you.
In addition to acupuncture, I will work alongside GPs, physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and other medical professionals to help get your pain or injuries under control.
